La Union 3D2N Itinerary and more

You will know how weird we are when it comes to traveling by posting this blog on a month of August on a Habagat Season on an orange rainfall warning. So, yeah, that’s basically one of our identities as travel bloggers.

Due to a family related event happening in Elyu, we have decided to grabbed this opportunity to enjoy our stay there and excitedly made an itinerary for a 3D2N adventure, which is posted here below.

Because of certain circumstances, like perhaps heavy downpours of rain, we were not able to follow the itinerary through. But, it didn’t mean we did not enjoy out stay. Proof of our joyous 3D2N stay can be watched here on this link: La Union 3D2N Itinerary and more it will also help you visualize more of our adventures, also some of the details I might have forgotten to write here are mentioned there.

I highly recommend our transient house located at Tammocalao. It is walking distance to a beautiful beach, which is also not crowded. By the way, this is a tricycle ride away from San Juan, just in case you’re wondering.

Meanwhile, here are the photos of the beautiful beach:

It is highly recommendable to bring your own car if you plan to explore La Union, because tricycle fares can take large amount of your budget, but if you are traveling on a group of 4 or more, the fares can be cheaper because a 200 peso ride can be divided into 4 or more.

We have managed to explore some of La Union’s tourist attractions even on an orange rainfall warning:

1. Kabsat (San Juan) – a local famous restaurant in town offering a beautiful view of the ocean, as in crashing of waves are heard. It’s quite pricey, but if you are dining as group of 4 or more, it can be classified as budget-friendly already.

2. The beach at the transient – as I have mentioned above, a beautiful crowd less beach is walking distance.

3. Immuki Island (Barangay Paraoir) – due to an orange rainfall warning, it is closed, but they have allowed us to enter and take photos, plus there’s a souvenir shop open and got our chance to buy some. The place is breathtaking, I was a bit sad we were not able to swim here.

4. The Centennial Tree (Carcarmay Integrated School) – I have been really looking forward to meeting this tree, and very glad I have touched and seen it personally. It is enormous like how i describe the waves here in Elyu. This is located inside a school.

We were supposed to go to Watchtower and Pebble River and Bahay na Bato, but due to the limited time, because we just went out on the 3rd day, and we were supposed to check out by around 1 PM, we just went to the Centennial Tree instead. Plus the fact that, my cousin, whom we considered sister already, have already been to those places before. We can explore it some other time, because the transient house is so good, I’ll know I’ll book this place again. They also offer meat and vegetables for your stay on a budget-friendly amount. We have a price of almost 800 for a 3-day stay, which is already for breakfast, lunch, dinner, this is a mixed of fish, meat, and vegetables.

The locals or perhaps the people in Elyu are so accommodating, helpful, and kind. Please don’t take advantage of this or ruin their clean and beautiful place. Be a responsible traveller.

Here’s the budget breakdown for our DIY La Union 3D2N:

1,600 – total Bus Transpo from Pasay to San Juan and vice versa

1,300 – sum of tricycle ride (Kabsat, Immuki Island, and Centinial Tree), this can be divided to your group (for example 1300/5)

350 – tricycle fare going to Patras terminal (divided to your group)

4,000 – 3D2N stay at transient (divided by 3), 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 7 I think because 1 bedroom has 2 beds, and an extra mattress.

Thank you and enjoy your tour!

What to Expect at Paraiso De June Quixote Ecofarm Resort

Paraiso De June Quixote Ecofarm Resort is one of the newly ecofarm resorts in Maragondon, Cavite. They offer so may outdoor activities that would most probably be enjoyed by the adrenaline junkie. But as early as now, before you even see the budget breakdown, I must say that the fees for these activities are not cheap. But is it worth it? Find out below or you may click on this link for a virtual tour: Paraiso de June Quixote Ecofarm Resort in Maragondon, Cavite

We only happened to experience two adrenaline activities because: (1) we went there on a weekend and the place is once again crowded just like our previous tour at torres farm;  (2) we didn’t brought enough cash because we didn’t expect that the activities would be that expensive.

But did we enjoy it? Yes we did. But personally speaking, they are too pricey compared to other tours we have experienced. This getaway is far from Dito Kay Shellan’s travel mission, which is to give tips on how to travel budgetarian (on a little budget or budget-friendly).

The ATV ride is enjoyable but it will cost you P750 per head and P500 for a backride for just a simple man made trail. We experienced ATV at Mt. Mayon and it only amounted us P850 for two including tip for the guide.

The sky walk, not really much of an adrenaline adventure will cost you P120, where it actually serves as an entrance fee to access the other part of the resort.

The hanging bicycle is fun and can be enjoyed for P200 each for a back and fort experience.

We didn’t get to take lots of photos because the place is so crowded and you would not enjoy a picture with a lot of photobombers. But, here are some decent photos we have taken at the place:

The good things about Paraiso de June Quixote Ecofarm Resort are (1) they offer delicious and affordable meal, (2) the service is very accommodating and all their employees are courteous, helpful, and approachable, (3) they have live bands at the al fresco dining which you can jam with if you like, (4) No parking fee, and (5) most amenities are pretty much free for children like the go karts and the activities at the park.

To sum it up, here’s the budget breakdown you should prepare if you opt to go here disregarding our warning that this is not a budgetarian getaway:

Sky walk: P120 / per head

Hanging bicycle: P200 / per head

ATV ride: P750 / per head

ATV back ride: P500 / per head

Food: we had full stomachs with less than P1000 including drinks, for three. Which is why it is also perfect for a family getaway. Plus, they serve free water.

Other activities:

Rappelling

Swimming

Zipline (soon to operate)

Crystal Kayaking

See this photos for more:

How to get there:

Just pin Paraiso de June Quixote Ecofarm Resort on Google Map or Waize. Once you are around 10 mins. Away, be vigilant to look for the small signage of the place but you will know you have arrived at the entrance when you see a decorated vehicle pathways that leads to the parking space.

I suggest that if you are going as a group, book grab, it will be much cheaper if you divide the fee, because the place is not really accessible by public transportation.

Enjoy and God bless.

Road Trip to Pililla Windmill as of June 2021

Since the government already allowed outdoor activity with the provision of following IATF guidelines, I and my fiance went on a road trip to Pililla, Pililla Windmill to be exact.

And upon our road trip we learned that a road is currently on construction, thus, heavy traffic flow is experienced by the travelers. And not only that by the time we got to the location, only 4 wheel vehicle or maybe those who have pre-booked their tour that day were allowed to enter.

That was quite disappointing. Imagine travelling for more than 2 hours and that is what we get. Yeah, we should have searched for any news about it first before heading on. So here we are, informing you the things you should expect and do before going to Pililla Windmill. Meanwhile, here’s the proof of the heavy traffic: Pililla Windmill as of June 2021

Aside from that, it’s a good thing we take every opportunity to take photos of beautiful scenery along the way.

We ate in a karinderya along the way. Their food is quite satisfying and their place is refreshing because it is somehow overlooking.

Thank you and God bless your trip.
